Who We Are
Austin Cathedral began in 1984 as “Cathedral of Praise,” founded by our Senior Pastors Bill and Sue Hart. They came to Texas with a Word from the Lord to establish a place of His Presence, that would declare the Lordship of Jesus and the Kingdom of God over Austin and Central Texas.
Austin has grown and seen many changes since that day. And though our name has changed, our heart remains the same: We are a place of His Presence. A part of the Father’s Family. A community connected to God and to one another, who is called to reveal the heart of the Father to the earth.
What We Believe
Austin Cathedral is a gathering of believers in Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe that His death, burial, and resurrection has provided forgiveness and freedom from sin and restored man to his original purpose. We believe in the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. We affirm that the Bible is the Word of God. We believe that the highest priority is the Presence and Glory of God. We are given to the mandate of Jesus that the Kingdom and will of God would be manifest “on earth as it is in heaven”.
Austin Cathedral is an Apostolic Company of believers whose purpose is to reveal the heart of the Father. God is establishing here a model of the Kingdom - the Family of God - and from here will flow many Pastors, Evangelists, Prophets, Preachers, and Teachers, who will model and train others to walk in Oneness and in Unity of Spirit.
